ALEAP + CAPA = Formula for Success

Working Together for Arizona Law Enforcement Excellence

ALEAP and CAPA share a common mission—helping agencies achieve the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and service. We’re grateful for the valuable support CAPA provides, and since we’re often asked how they fit into the ALEAP process, here’s a simple breakdown of their role:

CAPA provides mentorship, networking, mock assessments, and peer to peer training to help agencies prepare during their self assessment and reaccreditation processes. 📌 Contact CAPA for: Mentorship, mock assessment scheduling, and peer networking.

ALEAP oversees and implements the accreditation process, standards, assessments, and official decisions or updates to the program. Changes or updates to the program will come directly from ALEAP when implemented. 📌 Contact ALEAP for: Standards, policy guidance, applications, scheduling, waivers, or official accreditation process guidance and announcements.

Different roles, same mission—stronger agencies across Arizona.
