A New azleap.org and the September 2026 Issue of LEAD Magazine!
We are excited to announce that the redesigned azleap.org is live! The site has been rebuilt from the ground up with one goal in mind: making it easier for you to find what you need, when you need it. Whether you are a new accreditation manager looking for a manual, a chief researching the programs, or a member of the public looking for your local agency, the new site is built to get you there in a few clicks.
Here is a look at what has changed:
Find an Agency
The new Find an Agency page features an interactive map of Arizona. Select a county and you will see the law enforcement agencies within it, with a direct link to each agency's website. It is a quick way to see who serves where across the state, and it lives under the About menu as well as right on the home page.
Programs and Manuals, All in One Place
Accreditation programs, manuals, and brochures now live together on a single Programs and Manuals page. Each program has its own section so you can jump straight to the track that applies to your agency, whether that is law enforcement, communications, or property and evidence, and download the current manual and brochure without hunting through multiple pages.
New: Frequently Asked Questions
One of the biggest additions is a dedicated FAQ page under the About menu. We took the questions we hear most often about the accreditation process, timelines, assessments, costs, and eligibility and organized the answers in one place. If you have ever wondered "how do I get started" or "what happens at an on site assessment," there is a good chance your answer is already waiting there.
New: Resources Page
The new Resources page is the tool we are most excited to share. It is interactive! Type a keyword into the search bar and the page will surface the matching documents instantly. You can also sort by your role, so an accreditation manager, an assessor, and a chief each see the resources most relevant to them first. Every document on the page is the current version, so you can trust that what you are downloading is up to date.
Between the FAQ page and the Resources page, most of the information you would normally need to track down is now available around the clock, right on the site.
Join Us on BAND!
For our accredited agencies, we have also added an easy way to join the ALEAP BAND community directly from the website. BAND is where accredited agencies share updates, ask questions, and connect with peers across the state. If your agency is accredited and you are not on it yet, this is a great time to join. Visit the resources page for an invite!
A Note About the Relaunch
This is a full relaunch, and with any relaunch there may be a few kinks in the first weeks: a link that needs updating, a page that loads differently on one browser than another, a document that needs a refresh. Please do not worry. We are actively working through the site and will smooth things out as we go. If you spot something that does not look right, or you have a suggestion for something you would like to see added, drop a comment in BAND. Your feedback helps us make the site better for everyone.
